Should I locate my sps as high as posible on the reef or it doesn't matter and with what sps should instart am usindg leds on a 150 6x18x27 deep

Low!!
You always can set them higher after a few days, especially if you using leds.
As you know leds are a much more direct lighting source than any other out there, so easy to tip burn or for that matter kill you coral.
Show us some pics of your coral and tank.
Even a build thread would help you out as members can give you positive pointers.
Good luck.

Will do ill get some pics together and post them the the reef is two years old the tank is three months old, I upgraded from a 75 and moved everything to this tank just added more rocks

Their not the best leds couldn't get up there but their doing the job my corals are improving I have them at around 7 inches from the water still deciding how to hang them or canopy this is all a DIY set up

Here is a pic see what you think

That's true, but not all the time. We don't place low, that's ever! We set them where we think is right and that's there home. Never had a problem. Never any burnt tips. And we have sps getting blasted 2" below the water level . We are running evergrow it2040's with a sunrise sunset programmed to out liking. But what may work for us may not work for others.

Always I tell everyone . I'll give you tips . But don't mess anything up to your normal acclamation procedures.

Just checked yesterday nitrates are at 0 phosphates are around .5 cal is at 380 dkh is at 9 and my pH is at 8.2 salt at 1.024

I use reef breeders too and I cannot run both channels at 100% over my 30g. They are too intense. I run blue ramped up to 70 & white doesn't get over 40. I have acros ranging from mid to top. My water column is about 20" and the lights are mounted about 8"above the surface. I struggle with lps getting too much light even at the bottom but I'm mostly sps.
I'd recommend raising your salinity slowly to 35ppt if you're keeping sps and then make sure to keep all parameters stable
