So I was actually able to find these eggs tonight pretty sure they are flat worm eggs. Can anyone help me to identify.

Also have a few large colonies that are boing affected. How do you guys dip or treat the large stuff.

Here is the picture. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!

Bummer. Certainly could be eggs, but my eyes are not reliable for this kind of ID.

The photo is bad but looks like it. Almost looks the same on the below branch as well.

Any bites noticed on undersides yet?

Yes they are for sure AEFW eggs.. I had them last year and being my tank was new it was easy to get rid of them since things where easy to trash and just go fallow for a long time.. evaluate your situation and do what is most practical to you. Personal I'd stay away from any in tank treatment and go with a failsafe 2 month QT and fallow period and develop a love for some softies and LPS while you wait for some more acros

I would do whatever treatment is best for you and your livestock. If you only have a few acropora, its easy to remove them weekly to dip them and be clean in a month or a little longer. Sure looks like eggs to me.

Not all eggs are AEFW eggs. Are your acros showing any other symptoms? I see a hard edge and polyp extension. This is not normally what an AEFW infested coral looks like but then it's a horrible phone picture. Scrape the eggs off, dip in Bayer (tank water plus Bayer plus 3 or 4 rinses before returning to tank). Keep an eye on things. I know there is a product that supposedly treats AEFW but I would stick with what we know works right now. If the tank is infested then look at other options. An army of true peppermint shrimp does work as well. I've used them, another SPS reefer I know has used them. It's a rather pricey option though.

As you can see, they lay on fresh skeleton, I cleaned and dipped, just coming out the other side of them, good luck.

I have all the other signs now that I really look and have read more. Patchy dull color on mainly all my smooth sps. It’s definitely not STN. Gotta be flat worms. This is just the piece I seen the eggs. A lot of frags are showing signs. Thanks everyone!

So I have probably scraped off 50-100 eggs from pieces. Just decided to cut some and throw away affected area. Found a total of 4 flat worms. The one I posted if by far the biggest of them all! So we will continue the dipping in Bayer every day for the next week and try to blow off any with turkey baster on my colony that are to large. If I see any signs off the flat worms I’ll cut my losses on the large colonies and cut them from the rocks!

It’s weird even though I have AEFW I’m happy. I’m happy I finally found out what’s going on with my coral!
