Ok which sps coral would you say is the hardest to keep or which one have you just been unable to master and keep alive? For me it's the tri-colored Millepora..

I have always has horrible luck with regular Tri-colors (I've killed the GARF, a couple from Adam at battlecorals, the Lighthouse Tri-color) You name it I've killed it, due to placement, lighting, whatever. Cannot pin it down but I can sure bleach 'em white.

Bird's nest. I can't keep it no matter where in my DT I put it. I've tried multiple pieces from locals and the lfs with no luck.

Same here. I can grow the toughest sps, but I can not grow bird's nest to save my life. So very weird

Efflos... I can never get them to color up properly

Same here. I used to grow them really fast, then I moved tanks and setup some new equipment(new skimmer, mp40)and went BB and the acros started growing faster and the bird's nest got stunted. Maybe its the higher flow??

New to sps so I can't really say. Killed an acropora but in my defense it came bad as when I took it out of the bag it already was stinking

A. Humilis....can't seem to keep them long, although I can keep Solis and Efflos which need simular conditions...I've read that in nature they are exposed to air/sunlight during low tides and I even tried that a few times a week...no luck long term.

Matt...Purple monsters are very sloooow growers

I can't seem to keep a tricolor tenius alive. Everything else does great.

Hard to find a nice Efflo that will color up in the aquarium. Pretty hardy though. Personally I've tried 4 different efflos ....all turned shades of light brown. Finally got a decent one now.

As for those that are hard to keep.....a.hoeksami , a.abrotanoides are two that come to mind as notoriously hard. I've tried multiples of these and have totally given up on these two. I still have my 3rd hoeksami and it is color'd up great and healthy.....of course it did STN half its body at first but its been about 8 months and healthy. Absolultely no growth though....

For me its Ora red planet. I have tried 4 times, all stn within a months time. Before that it was tri-color, but for some reason I have a wild piece a. Secale and it is doing great.

Sorry did not remeber this for SPS I always had problems with brain corals, for others simple :) for me no luck, also xenia i have tried so many times to grow xenias, failed miserably :) others have problems killing this stuff :)

Jedi mindtrick 3 times and an orange setosa 3 times. I'm on my fourth setosa which so far looks awesome...everytime these corals have died it was user error on my part by adding too much magnesium and an alk swing.

LOL glad I am not alone. Though I havent tried in quite awhile, I've never had any luck at all with any type of birdsnest. ORA purple pillow and dustins deepwater are a breeze compared to them lol.

Steve Elias stag for me, this coral gets great growth for me but has always been brown.
