Sps tissue necrosis

Definitely the sudden change that caused it. The real question is should you drop the nitrates back down to your “normal” (another sudden change) or just leave it and hope for the best?
I’ve had this happen many times before and fragging it only seemed to kill it faster from more stress. Spreading/pushing superglue into the coral and around the parts about to die off is my new solution.

I just had a sps frag RTN, I’ll try one again but, when I do, I’ll dip initially then maybe do a full tank cipro treatment as a preventative to kill any protozoan that may be present and attack the frag. Apparently protozoans is what causes STN/RTN and BJD.

In the future, I've heard (although don't have firsthand experience myself) that iodine dips can help with STN...Seachem Reef Dip is one product I've heard used among others
I'll get some today
How long has the tank been set up?
Its 64 days BUT, I used old gear so all the live rock and sand is from an established tank and the water too. Ik it isn't suggested but I thought I'd throw some in to try it out. Some have grown a lot but yeah, it was my mistake here sadly

How does the super glue work?

I would say a combination of things. That should have been your entry summary there. You upgraded tanks. You used all the same gear. Your tank went through a mini cycle. And that’s why your fish died.

I just moved the tank over to a different place. I think it may have been stress or that sadly

Witch Hazel.
