SPS top down

Wow very nice! I especially like all of the yellow. Anything I have yellow turns a yellow-green color.

If you don’t mind sharing info on your tank size, equipment, and maintenance schedule it would be appreciated. Thank you.

My main system is a 83gal (48x20x20)
- Flow provided by 2x Gyre XF 150
- Return is an Ecotech Vectra M1
- Lights are 2x XR30 G3Pro on SPS ab+ at 95% with wide lense and 4xT5 Blue+ for 6h.
The sump is a 40B with live rock, i have 2 reactors in sump for GFO (changed every 2-3weeks) and GAC (changed weekly). I have a 25gal frag tank hooked to the system with a manifold.
I use a a Kamoer 3-heads for my alk / Mg-Ca / Reef mineral and a X1 for my Nopox.
ATO is Tunze 8555, i also added some redundancy with a float valve from the RODI reservoir and a timer.
The controler is an Apex new gen. I have the leak module with 2 sensor.. just in case.
Testing done with Neptune Trident for Alk-Ca-Mg.
I do not really test for N and P... everytime i do i have panic attack. Generaly my N and P are pretty high.
Skimmer is a JNS CO-1.
For nutrient control (as if i had control
1f62b.png
) i rely on 15% weekly WC, i use AF NP pro and Probio S and Nopox.
Salt is AF Reef salt and Probiotic salt at a 5/1 ratio.
I use AF Alk-Ca-Mg- Reef mineral with component strong.
I dose every otehr day 2 drops of ABVE.
I feed a bunch of stuff to fish and coral.
In terms of maintenance or daily stuff i do on the tank, i don't do a lot.
I have an auto-feeder, but i will try to feed once a day some frozen food to make sure my copper band and anthias remains healthy.
Dosing daily NP pro and Pro bio S. i can skipp a few days or week without noticing a big impact, usually it will get more algae on rock and glass.
Dosing ABVE every other day.
Weekly water change of 15-20gal (3-4 buckets). Equipment inspections, checking level of the dosing solutions and make some when needed.
I would say i spend less than 5 min daily on the maintenance/feeding and maybe 1h-1.5h for the weekly water change.
Most of my time is spent on inspecting/looking at the fish and corals to make sure everything is healthy... kids would say to much time on the tank, can be hours. i used to chase numbers and test way to much, i was spending a lot more time on testing, trying to adjust parameters, etc... and lot less time enjoying the tank. i really went KISS with my current system, less is better, stability is key.
