I been watching my sps turn green . I don't understands if pink , orange and purples colors were fine . Only my blues stay the same .

Does anybody know why they are turning green ?

Mine did that for awhile. I think it was iron but I'm not sure. Most of the stuff regained it's original color after awhile. I bumped up the light and went to a more simple approach, just fish and food plus a little iodide. You will get a lot of feedback here but it seems to be a number of things that can cause this. My corals were healthy enough, but even my Red Planet started turning green in parts.

Mine had great color and all the sudden they turn green . I'm not sure what caused it

What type of lighting do you currently use? Typically some types of corals will turn green under moderate lit aquariums (especially some maricultured) You say they had great color then turned green? Could also be from a prolong exposure to a rise in iron. Also ive seen acros infested with acro flatworms turn green.

It's a 6 bulb ati with a sbar for supplement. Yeah they had good color and all the sudden started to turn green . I don't dose and iron in my tank . I check the base to see if I see any flatworm or indications of flat worms eatting up the acro and there is nothing the base of the acro looks good

Do you run GFO? I was reading on here that a guy with a really outstanding SPS tank started having similar issues with the green effect. In the end, he narrowed it down to a particular GFO he was using.

I don't run gfo or carbon. Just run skimmer and a turf scrubber . I just dose alk, cal, mag and potassium and potassium iodide.

Sometimes you have to look at what you are doing and check off what is known for sure to leave the possible cause.
