Absolutely, I have two sets of zoas in my tank that have almost identical coloration, one looks like a CAR and the other is starting to look like a bowser. one of the biggest differences in the two are the "stems"? one is really short and hugs substrate and the other is elongated like most palythoas.

I adjusted a couple prices, and I am now debating on selling my Jawbreaker colony, which includes the mother that is in the second post.

I think your bowsers are actually shazams.

Not trolling this conversation ..... I was just having a conversation in the last week regarding buying bowsers and where they came from. There are several lineages of bowsers; PZ (planet zoa) and CB (Cornbred). I think the difference is in the amount of yellow / green in the skirt.

Shazam’s are often labeled as bowsers but IMO there is a big difference in the amount of yellow and true red skirts.

Then there are Candy Apple Orange which I am told by some are Wowsers.

Then there are Candy Apple Reds which people sell as bowsers in my local area.

As hobbiest we need to start asking for, stating, and remembering lineage. We do this with SPS but not zoas?! We need to not rename something close to make a buck. Remember, we all got into the hobby for a hobby, not to make a money. Guys are killing the hobby by doing these things and causing arguments between reputable sellers and buyers.

I do have some Jaw breakers left, but will be selling the entire colony. There are 7 JB’s in total, all of which have red, and the mother has green. The smallest is only about 8-10mm, but they progressively get larger with each one because they all came from this mother as she layed the mushrooms. I will need a little time to think of a price, because I’ve only sold them as singles or doubles, never an entire colony, let alone this mother that I’ve had for years. I’ll post pictures and a price soon.

Here are a couple quick photos of the colony. You can’t see the other four small mushrooms because they are covered up by the three large mushrooms, but I will take a photo of them once the lights are off and the large mushrooms shrink. The mother is huge, and loves to leave babies.

Don’t mind the mushroom poo. I fed them a few hours ago.

I am going to create a separate thread selling the jaw breaker colony for $2,000 shipped for the mother and 6 other mushrooms on the rock. If it doesn’t sell, I will cut each individual mushroom off the rock, and sell them individually in here.

I ended up cutting the smallest mushroom off the rock, which was smaller than I originally thought. Now there’re 6. I’m pricing the rock at $1850. If it doesn’t sell as a colony, I’m going to split the mushrooms apart and sell everything separately. The mother will be $1000, the next two large mushrooms would be 400 each, and the small ones I will probably end up keeping.
