OK thanks guys for all your help. I'm going to stop feeding as much as I have been the last couple weeks. I'm getting tired of scraping the glass. I'm going to give the tank a little time to acclimate to the changes I've made and then start dosing no3. Will let you all know how it goes.

oh i fed. and fed. and fed. and cyano battling for a month was not a fun time.

100 ml of acro power a week
2 cubes of mysis a day
300 ml of my coral soup mixed up with cyclops, nutricell micro, oyster feast, and minced mysis a week.

all for 2 ppm nitrate and a ton of cyano.

that overfeed stuff did not help me at all

I would love to know the actual nitrate number of your tank at the time. With all that feeding and very little nitrate I would say you way over did it and didnt know the exact number of the nitrates because they were mostly being absorbed by the nusiance algae problem.

While over feeding you still have to maintain a proper maintenance regimen, otherwise you run into the problems you had.

2 weeks after dosing potassium nitrate and using mb7/stability to outcompete cyano with activated carbon
