lol..Working on the RODI station in the mud room. I had the plumber install a separate cold water for my RODI so I did not have to run off the washer line.

I've always used hot water, I'm pretty sure it makes the RO/DI work more efficiently?

Yeah hot water will ruin your RO membrane. DI resin may be toast at a temp over 110 F. The cooler the water the slower the out put but greater the rejection. Warmer the water the faster the out put but a lot less rejection. I think ideal would be 70 F. But as long as the TDS shows me zeros I'm happy happy happy.

It ain't going anywhere!...lol I may do a few modifications like adding wood blocks to the plates to get a more snug fit. You could park a army tank above that floor!..lol
