spspirates 150 gallon build

Its almost there!

Thanks Josh. It's been a little slow around here. Preparing for baby on the way, ordering parts waiting for them to come in saving up for the light fixture taking time with the family on vacation etc. It's delayed gratification..lol :)

Are you still going with the reefbrites? PA is having a 10% off sale through the end of August. I've been contemplating the switch to halide and now I'm even closer to doing it.

Yes so far Im leaning towards the 36" ReefBrite Halide Hybrid. Thanks for the heads up.

Woooot ! Woooot ! onto 28 pages and almost wet............................................. lol

Plumbing looks great Andy, going to be one sweet setup.

Cheers, Todd

Thanks Todd. I'm learning that spa flex isn't so "flex". I may have to get the wifey's hair dryer out to make a bend. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Waiting on bulk heads. Should be here Monday.

Drain side is finished. The oven trick really helped me out a lot. 200 degrees for 5 minutes made the spa flex a lot easier to work with. White ABS bulkheads came in and look sweet! So glad I went the extra mile tracking those things down. Now on to the return side.

Beautiful build! Almost a shame to put doors on the stand to hide that sump.

Boy, it would be amazing if you could rig something so that you can semi easily slide the tank out a bit for any issues that come up. This isn't even my tank and the anticipation is killing me!

Thanks! Im not that tall..LOL! Getting under there and around the sump is not a problem for me. Plenty of room under the stand for ATO reactors etc. For sliding the tank out once its filled the only way to work on anything if I had too (hoping I won't) would be to drain.

+1 to ^that^ Andy, and with all this detail in the build so far will be a hard task to outdo the setup with what may be on the inside..... maybe at this point just throw in a couple hundred neon color dyed Tetras and Danios and save yourself the headache of a Reeftank until the beauty of the stand and plumbing has wore of a bit... ya know like a year or two.... lol

Cheers, Todd
