Hey Andy, how far away from other corals are you keeping the favias? I've been wanting to get some but read they will sting other corals with long sweepers....

I like to keep my favias on the sand bed but have the frag glued to a big disc or solid type of surface. This way they get a fast hold on a solid surface and if need be I can move them around where ever. Also they seem to grow a more spherical shape than encrust on the rock work some where. Some times YES they can send out some pretty nice sweepers but I don't see this very often and when I do it's at night after a heavy feeding. For the most part having them 2" away from each other seems to be a safe bet. After about a hour or two after the lights go off observe your favias and note what you see.

Awesome build.... Subscribed! May I ask, what thickness acrylic is your sump? Seems in photos that skin and clear are same? Want one of those sumps :(. Congrats on great start to your Reef!

Thank you very much!! Im not too sure on the thickness of the sump, maybe quarter inch but that would be just a guess.

Update shots of some of the corals coloring up in the reef. Been feeding the heck out of these guys!
