spspirates 150 gallon build

What is that? Btw do you just mount coral right away without trying them in different spots?
Red Planet YES!..Lol in a round about way. It depends. Some like my LPS are all mostly on the sand bed or very low near the sand bed and can be moved around. SPS I look for a suitable spot and mount it there. I do like to color coordinate my corals so no two blues next to each other and try to have a small group of different colored corals close to each other. I do consider flow and light intensity but Im working with a tank height of 20" so it's not going to be a huge difference on placement considering light intensity though there will be some.

Funny my RP was the same way. remained one measly stub forever, only the base grew. no new branches, just encrusted, eventually started growing off the rock like a cap..then started to explode right before i tore the tank down to move

A friend of mine relocated his PC Superman table and was nice enough to give me the base. You can see how the pigment is dark and rich from running all those LED's he has..Lol Im sure it will shift and hopefully have some axial corallites popping out everywhere.

He sounds like a great guy...

Your corals look beautiful as always Andy! Love that red planet. Trying to get my salty fingers on one atm lol. Suppose you wouldn't want to part with that lovely specimen would ya? Haha JK!

Thanks!! You know if you were close I'd give you a frag! Have a shipment coming in Tuesday with some new additions!! Still dosing vinager and happy with the results. I wish somehow I could pull out that deep red that some people get but still really happy with the colony of RP.

Story of my life, I am not close to ANYONE, not even here in FL lol. I do appreciate the thought :D

I have to say I like the different variations of color they have and how they're unique to the individual tank and yours is beautiful :)

Most of my SPS are doing well and some of their colors are phenomenal. Thanks to Reef Energy I believe. Great stuff, thanks for the tip :)

Thank you! I guess to pull out the bright red it's all the matter in tweaking something. I thought about the Reef Energy but I've been using Reef Plus for sooooooo long why stop. I need to head over and check out your build!

I also used the coral colors sparingly because of the Reef Energy. Wasn't sure which ones you told me about - it was coral colors lol. In the 180 I dose it only once a week at 20ml each and keep my pumps off for about an hour. I want them to really soak it up. Since I do 10% wc every week I dose right after then 2 days later I dose 20ml each of the 4 coral colors.
