Anyone keeping squarebacks with bimacs without any aggression issues? My lfs has had a male squareback for a couple months and it is eating well. I was considering this fish but not sure the bimac (only one) would tolerate it. The bimac has been quite peaceful with the other fish in the tank including 5 lyretails.

I have a pair of Marcia's with a pair of lyretails and no issues (the Marcia's are about twice the size of the lyretails). I realize that it's not quite the same pairing, though.
Thanks. The lyretails can be aggressive but they pretty much keep to themselves in my reef. Maybe because of them other anthias can get lost in the crowd. I'd just hate to put a fish into an aggressive situation.

I had to look those up. Almost reverse coloration of the squareback. Let's see a pic of those.

did you end up getting the squareback? I'm thinking about getting a squareback anthias pair. I currently have 1 male bimac and 5 females.

No. They withered away at the lfs. I may vonsider the bimacs from biota. Several members here have had good success with them
