No, you were correct.

Squarebacks get quite large too. A group would require a big tank. I'm not sure what size I would recommend for trying a group.
 
I bought 2 females from live aquaria I have them both in QT right now . I guess if they fight to much I will sell one to lfs . Only have 100 gallon aquarium I thought they would be alot smaller but the ones they sent me are almost 5 inches.
 
Along with pictillis, squares are about the largest anthias. Need lots of food and space; males are very twitchy.
 
I guess the answer to my question if you put 2 females in tank will one turn into a Male?
