Anyone else use one of these? It’s my first protein skimmer so I have no reference point to judge it’s qualities. I did some research and couldn’t find much info on them but rolled the dice anyways.
Right now it’s on an empty red sea 170 awaiting its first fish once any stores reopen.
So far it looks well made with thick acrylic, easy to take apart and clean and even pulled a good amount of skimmate off an empty tank (cured/cycled rock and sand only). The ac controllable pump is a nice feature. Foot print is small and the recommended depth fits the water height in the red sea 170 sump. The pump is very quiet too. I payed more than probably similarly sized skimmers but so far I think I made a good choice.
