After seeing a post here about another magnetic stirrer I looked on Amazon and found this stirrer. I wanted it for using my Red Sea test kit. I didn’t want to keep having to shake the test bottles for that amount of time called out in the instructions. This is a very easy stirrer to use, the only downside so far is the battery compartment lid is hard to remove. I really do believe that I got better results as the solutions mixed together as I was adding the drops in. I had always had high magnesium readings and using the stirrer I got readings that showed I needed to add the magnesium to the tank along with the alkalinity and calcium readings. Now I know that some people will say that $50.00 is too much, but I say that if you get better and I think more accurate readings you aren’t wasting the test solutions, this saves you money over the course of testing your tank(s).
