Prices between the two are fairly close and wouldnt mind paying a bit more if the 3000INT would work better for my situation, I just dont want to overkill it because Ive heard you can get too big of a skimmer. Ill be running probably a total of 120gal and I want to have my water really clean for sps. Also, most likely will have a heavy bioload eventually.

What do you think?

If the bigger skimmer fits in your sump, you always go for the bigger/better skimmer

Either one would be a good choice, but I think if you went with the 3000, you should run it intermittently throughout the day, and increase the run time as your load increases. If you get the 2000, I'd just run it 24/7.

Having previously owned the SRO 2000XP and run it on 120G total volume I would stick with that.

I currently have the SRO 2000 INT and have been happy with it. Jeremy from Premium Aquatics recommended going with the SRO 2000 INT for more consistency in skimming. I actually bought the 3000 INT already but I had a quick question and called Premium Aquatics and ask based on their experience if I made the right decision. Jeremy then recommended that the 2000 INT would be a better choice. I'm glad he did. not only the SRO 2000 INT has a smaller footprint, it also skims really well for my tank... 110g with heavy bioload.

Yeah I was really waiting on reviews from the vertex omega 150 because it looks awesome and I heard it was built very well. But seeing that like everyone that has bought one had a broken piece from shipping. SRO's are confirmed to be solid skimmers for the money so Ill go that route.

I have the 3000 on my 120 gal sps tank are it over skims which is ok for me because I want prestige water. If I want to a little phos I just shut it off at night and turn back on in the morning via apex programming. I will upgrade my tank this spring to a 190 but wont need to upgrade my skimmer. just my .02
Good luck either one will be good
