Hey guys, after a bunch of doing my own research and trying to catch up on what I missed the last 5-6 years since I shut down my 125g, I think I decided on a SRO 3000INT for my future 220g build. I was just wondering what you guys think or if there is something that is a better bang for the buck. Even if I have to spend a little more, I am just not looking to go too much pricier but even then will still consider suggestions. You guys think it will be a good skimmer for a medium to heavy bioload mixed reef tank? Open to any and all suggestions.

Should be good.
I have a SRO5000INT on my 450G total volume and it does a wonderful job.

You think the 5000 would be overkill for my needs?

Keep the advice coming everyone [emoji51][emoji106]

Skimmers are like pumps. You really cant make an undersized pump or skimmer bigger. However you can always not run the skimmer 24/7 or dial back over size pumps.
Those are very nice skimmers. I have a large external model and its great.

I definitely want to stick to internal skimmers. So you think I should try to go for the 5000 or do you think I will be perfectly fine with the 3000 model?

I got the SRO-5000 for a tank of that size. Tank hasnt arrived yet.

Awesome, let me know how it does. I got a good amount of time before I set my tank up.

What is everyone's opinion on skimmers with ac pumps versus ones with dc pumps?
