Umm my experiences with plumbing putty is it does not harden it stays soft.

I've just started to collect some SPS items so I am new to this side of corals. I heard that plumbers putty was reef safe so I wanted to make sure that this "sta put" stuff won't nuke my tank. I plan on using it to attach SPS frags to my Live Rock.
BTW, I heard that coral epoxy was the same stuff as plumbers putty. Something may be wrong with me (shocker huh).
