So I've been into the hobby about 18 months now. I was wondering if this would be considered stable ALK by general consensus? While everyone boast stability stability. I find it hard to determine what is successful and what is not.

Tank Background:
I'm dealing with two 20 gallon long tanks (DT and Sump) with what a estimated 22 Gallons total water volume. I'm dosing 4ml a day of BRS two part and test with a Hanna ppm checker.

Obviously the less swing you can create the better, but as far as your graph, up until that 9 to 9.5 dkh spike, it doesn't look that bad. I know mine will swing around .5 dkh a day and i'm dosing 38ML of brs 2 part.

Thanks for your input. You brought up a good point to add.

That spike was from the warm weather and lower than average PH swing. At one point I was dosing 6 ml in the winter when I was able to keep PH 7.95-8.1. The past month its been at 7.7 -7.95

The setup is in the basement, and even with the skimmer having a external line to the outside, its tough to keep PH up. I try not to stay in my man cave, to reduce c02.
