Water parameters. Lighting. Nutrition. Biodiversity. More and more. All best stable.

What about flow? “Random” flow, variable waves, flow patterns, direction, intensities, types, YIKES!

Is it possible to have a true mixed reef tank from sps to softies represented in their healthiest form without an enormously large tank? I’m sps dominant in an 80 gallon bare bottom. I blast my tank. 2 mp10’s and a gyre. Just started my shroom garden. The jury is out. Any thoughts?

Sure it is. But you have to get creative with your rockwork. Build up walls with your rocks to create little lagoons lower in the tank where the flow isn't so intense.

My 20l is jammed full of SPS on one side and large zoa colonies on the other. No water changes or skimmer and right now my heater is unplugged.

Flow is annoying to solve in the tank because its impossible to get true turbulence in a small tank. I run a mp10 on one side and a hygger on the softie side pointed at each other. Not perfect, but it works.
