Looking at building a 375 soon. I will have a seperate fish room and wanted to get some ideas about filtration. I wanted to keep it pretty simple for now but thought about setting up around 100 gallons for a sump to house skimmer, reactors and whatever. I was thinking of having this tank drain down to a 100 gallon refugium and then the return back to the main display.

Hope that makes sense and I look forward to hearing any ideas or hopefully seeing some filtration photos

Yes the bigger the refuge the better. Id even go for a 200 gallon if youve got the space. This way if a fish becomes a bully you can have him live in the sump. Just make sure the intake of tbe return pump isnt going to suck them up. Had that happen...

Kindergarten rendering of my idea so far. 60x20x15 made of 1/2" acrylic. stacked one on top of the other behind the tank.
