I need help with designing a DT/Frag setup. I want to build a stand that will hold a 40B tank on top for DT, a shelf in the middle for custom reef ready acrylic frag tank, and a sump on the bottom. I obviously want it all to be interconnected but I have a couple questions.

1) Is there a way to have the dt overflow and the frag overflow run through the same pipe or will they have to overflow to the sump seperately?
2) Could i just T off a return pump to feed water back to both tanks?

I am just at the infantry stages of this build so if anyone has ideas for a stand or even a build plan for a decent 40B stand that I could modify to fit what I need that would be great.

One more question, Could I use the basic petco stand for this idea and build a "shelf" to sit over a shallow sump that has a shallow frag tank on top of it?

Heres one of my infamous crude drawings for my idea

This is a view of what would be the inside of the stand. I would build out of 2x4 with a plywood top.

Are you going to have the frag tank on a drawer to pull out. If not I would think the stand would be pretty high in order to get all your room to work.

This was how I built my stand so I can have a 40b display and a 40b sump without a huge stand. Not sure if it's a option you considered but if you baffle the sump right there is a lot of room for a frag section.
