Staghorn acropora - looking suggestions

If your considering growth form I would say these are the most unique of bunch of staghorn that I love.

- hoeksami
- Horrida (not a true stag but close)
- Abrohlosensis
- Abrotranoides
- Latistella
- Nobilis
- Cerivonis
- Gemmifera is superb looking and is a little short for a true staghorn but I had to put a digitate acro besides abro in the list
- Formosa and yongi too but they are fairly boring if you been in the hobby for a while. But still have some rare really colorful ones mainly the all blue ones are the hardest to find and most unique.

I've got a buddy who's cutting me a frag back of a horrida I had awhile ago.
Love the abrotranoides structure, I feel like I had one of those a few years back. I just did know what it was.

Sounds like I've found a lime in the sky locally and red slimer. I'll update As I acquire them here.

If you have a large tank the abrholosensis is very awesome because the polyps are nice and the tips are pink or orange by the axial and they grow very long thick branches. I have yet to see a very large colony because they grow so long in aquariums, perfect center piece stags if you don’t mind bright green.
I had a stag that looked like a red slimer but I don’t think I have seen a real one that color yet. Mine had some slightly sharp coralites on it if you looked close. Was very close to the Hugo rainbow stag which is a superb piece!

Matt, you should contact @ycnibrc he has (or had) one of the most impressive stag tanks around and he's not too far from you. Anthony is a great guy, but I'm not sure if he's made the transition to LPS dominant yet? He's the one I got that magenta millie from that I absolutely love. Your lime in the sky will be waiting for you when you're ready.

I love that millepora piece too. It's one of the only one's that pulled through the metal issue. It's not looking great but I think it's going to pull through.

That’s good to hear, mine is still just a patch after all of my troubles. I would be willing to saw off that patch from the rock it’s attached to in a heartbeat.

What are some of the more unique looking staghorn acropora out there? I’m looking to add one or two to my tank.

I do like the look of his one as well. I saw reef builders had a cool one he collected that was blue.

For a blue hoek, ask gsw3 or copps if they will ship you a few decent frags. Getting one from lineage in an established system helps a lot with this acro. Some get lucky though.

Yes. I have a wild hoek and I'm constantly nervous
