I have a lacrosse alerts temp monitoring system that allows me to keep an eye on temp in my chinchilla room via the interwebz... I was looking at adding a second monitoring station with a wet probe for the aquarium - is salt water chemistry going to cause problems (or be negatively impacted) by a wet probe that has a stainless steel tip/ probe body?

thanks!

Stainless is the next best metal next to titanium for the tanks. My pumps have stainless screws holding on the impeller housing. I don't see it as an issue, other than sooner or later it will corrode. It will just take time. Be sure to take it out and clean it often and inspect for leaks as I am assuming there is copper within the probe tip. You wouldn't want the saltwater to come in contact with that...
