Hi all,
I have a 10 gallon and 28 gallon reef aquarium with mushrooms, pulsing Xenia and clown fish but I am in the process of starting a 90 gallon reef aquarium and taking the other 2 down. I purchased the stand and 90 gallon aquarium a while back but did not set it up as I was thinking about moving and did not want to have to set it up and then take it down. Even though I have had the other tanks up and running for a while I still really do not know what I am doing and purchased a 28" tall stand for my 90 gallon tank thinking it would be easier to reach over to clean but did not realize that I would have a difficult time finding a short protein skimmer to fit into the sump and have enough room to take out to clean.
My questions are: should I try to sell the stand I have now or can I just add some more support inside the stand and raise it up to a higher height (that you recommend); next what skimmer should I go with and last question is how would I go about running my hoses to the sump and tank. The tank is predrilled and I have all the attachments that came with the tank.

Thanks for any help you could give me.

That's a lot of questions that would be easier with photos of the setup. Keep in mind, the weight of the water is significant and the stand is the only thing keeping it up.
