Stand for Fluval Evo 13.5?

So glad to have found this thread, looking to get an EVO but struggling with what stand to get.

Sobo - really like what you’ve done with the Ikea Kallax but am worried about the weight as I believe the EVO will be about 54kg but the Ikea website quotes less than half that for the weight bearing of the Kallax, did you do anything to strengthen it please?

Nope! I had the tank set up for a few months with no problem. Of course it was only setup for 3 months so I’m not sure of the length of time it would work. I’ve also had a 29g tank filled and sitting on top of this with 0 issues. I think the weight will be just find for you

I used 2(two), 20g stands from Petco and attached them together. The reason being NOT because it doesn't fit, but because of the lack of sturdiness of the stand. Because the evo 13.5 is a peninsula style, the tank is perpendicular to the wall vs parallel against the wall.

The stand was extremely wobbly due to weight of the tank. I have an 80lb Australian Husky and one good hit this thing would be on the ground. So I bought another stand and secured them together to make ONE stand that is much more sturdy. He is a link to the stand.
