Stand Height Preference

How tall is your stand? Is it easier to view standing or sitting. Did you choose this height or is this a stock made stand?

Getting some ideas together for a future build.

My stand is 42" tall custom. Perfect to view when standing. Gives me plenty of room to work under the tank and opens up more equipment options. More difficult to work in the tank though but a step stool/ladder remedies that.

I built mine at 36" tall. To me this is perfect. Can see it well standing or sitting and plenty of room under the cabinet. I wouldn't go shorter than this.

If I remember correctly I built my 40B stand around 32 or 34 inches. I'm only 5'8" and wanted to be able to reach the bottom without getting on a step stool.

I went 30" tall. Don't do that. Leaves very little room to do anything underneath.

+1 Mine is 36 inches tall. Perfect! I am able to reach the bottom of my tank.

Depends if it'll be viewed mostly standing or sitting. Mine is behind dining table Sonja's to be higher than chairs. It's 36 inches high. Also provides enough space for sump. If u have a fashion and talk will be seen sitting I recommend lower.
