Need some advice… bought a used 125 gallon and stand. The previous owner built the stand with 2x4’s. I want to put a sump underneath, but the guy left only 13 inches of space between the 2x4’s front and back. Do I have options? Most of the sumps are 14-16 inches wide that I have seen. I can try and build my own sump out of a 55 gallon without concern for the 13 inches. Or can I move one of the supports forward to put the sump in that space. Does this make sense?

Many will take off the side panel and go in with sump through the side. I had to remove two studs on my current stand to get sump under the stand. I cut two 2x4 and placed under the stand to maintain support and then removed studs and placed sump underneath and then screwed the removed ones back into stand and utilized the two 2x4's I used for support for added strength to stand
