I have this wood stand that is in amazing conditions on the inside and cabinets, but there is a tiny gap/seam from where I am assuming there was a water leak. The left side of the stand shows the seam but has no variation in height from the rest of the stand, while the right is slightly lower creating a raised spot. Is this something I should be worried about if I get a rimmed tank?

Stand is meant for a 75G

Yeah I was going back and forth on putting plywood down(after staining it) or if that would be overkill. I’ll definitely make sure it’s all level though

For a rimmed tank, I'd say it's fine, since the glass won't be touching the stand itself.

If you want to add plywood, you'll only need a 3" strip around the outside, no need to cover the middle since the tank is only supported by the bracing on the edges. But if it makes you feel better, cutting a piece of ply to fit the space won't hurt anything.
