If the end cap of my stand pipe goes just past the top of my over flow will that be were the water level is because my water is
Just hitting the bottom of my tanks brace and I’ve tryed everything from slowing down water in return and everything and that is the only thing I’m thinking it could be just want to ask before ripping it apart again. Thanks. Any info would be awesome

Honestly I don't understand the problem based on the description you have given.

As I understand your water level is lower than you want overall in the DT.

What type of overflow and drain system do you have?
is it Prebuilt into the aquarium?
What type of drains (drain setup) are in the overflow?
How many drains are in the overflow and are they all drains or emergency drains?

The level of water in the DT is normally set using the gate valve(s) on the drain(s).

Do your drains have gate valves?

Is your return pump large enough to push the proper amount of water to the tank?

the problem is there is to much water I have a durso stand pipe and the cap on top of the durso is maybe a half inch above the slots in the corner overflow which in return I think is making the water level in the dt to just hit the top braces on my tank.

I have two corner overflows with one durso stand pipe in each its a 300 gallon dt with 2 2100 hygur pumps as returns

So you have a single? Durso stand pipe and if you have a gate or ball valve it is wide open and still does not drain fast enough.

I have two stand pipes in my overflow.
Both are 5-6 inches below the water level in my overflow.
My overflow is built into the tank.

Basically they are dursos but I do not have the air hole or tube above the water line.
This way they can be full syphon, the hole is for nothing else other than allowing the air to escape to achieve full syphon faster and silent operation.

Also no gate valves I have a 120 gallon sump so it can take the back flow

I do not glue my stand pipes into the bulkheads so they can be removed for cleaning.
Each stand pipe is built the same but glued together.
Each stand pipe has two 90's creating a upside down U with a hole drilled into the top of the 90. and the risers are also glued in but are different heights.

I have a 24 inch tall tank and my overflow chamber is 24 inches deep.
The weir is about 1.5 inches deep top to bottom.
My two 1 inch durso stand pipes are at two heights, the top of the 90s that is.
One is at 12 inches, the second is at 18 inches.
So they are completely submerged.

My setup.jpg

As you can see in my picture my stand pipes are totally submerged allowing full syphon.
What you cant see in the picture is the 1/4 inch hole drilled on top of the 90's
This allows me 1300GPH flow.
