Stand question 40 b

Ok so I built my stand set tank up there and tank isn’t touching in one corner like a millimeter off can I use a piece of granite or quartz on top to make it sit flush?

A mm with a 40B isn’t a big worry. But yes a top of some kind is good. I like 3/4” plywood so that I can attach things to it underneath.

Either 3/4 plywood as suggested above or a sheet of 3/4 foam board would work as well.

I already put a piece of 1/2 inch birch as the top

You could add a tiny bit of shimming under the high corner. Anything that happens to be the right thickness to fill the gap.

Maybe an old credit card or gift card would be about right.

So I flipped the tank upside down and the trim isn’t straight that’s why the corner doesn’t touch

Still a good idea to slip something into that gap.
