Okay so this is a silly question. When I do anything with my tank I seem to be more on the cautious side of things. I'm setting up a standard 29 gallon tank. I have the stand for a 46 gallon bow front which has never been used. The 29 fits on top and leaves a nice shelf around the tank. I am worried that since a 46 gallon tank spreads its weight out differently than a 29 gallon that it wouldn't work. I was wondering what others thought about putting a 29 on the 46 stand. The actual braces or walls of the stand seem to line up pretty close to that of the tank. Okay sorry for the novel of a posts but I feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a photo? Is it like a podium with a larger top than the supports? If the supports are under the tank then I don't think it matter how big the rest of the shelf is. But if it's not perfectly under the tank on all sides then you're asking for trouble. That tank will weigh 300 pounds when full. So keep that in mind. If the walls are outside the dimensions of the tank I wouldn't do it.
