I built my stand to 96x24 but then realized the tank will be 96.5x24.5 because of the trim, is this going to be a problem structurally or can I make up the extra half inch with plywood? Thanks for your help!

Glad to help!! Post up some pix when you get things all done!! Love to see what you come up with!!

I’ve been wanting to start a build thread because I think the tank will be pretty cool honestly.. just never done a build thread before

The tank is a peninsula and will be separating my kitchen from my living room

I just built a stand as well and was wondering if it would be a good idea to coat the inside with some type of sealer or rubber under coating? Any thoughts?

Probably not necessary you really just need spray paint.. I’m using water based paint

I always use Kilz 2. It's water based. I also paint EVERY square inch of the stand. A couple coats will go a long way towards preventing any issues down the line.
