Looking for ideas on what i could use between the tanks and stand i will be building out of 80/20 (t slot aluminum)my current thought is a laminate counter top but im open to suggestions will be 3 tanks 2 lagoon 25s and an sr 60

Stand is 96 x 26 so prefer somthing i can get in large size

Granite may be alit out of my price range and i was up at ikea yesturday lol

Granite will not doubt cost a fortune, are you going for modern or traditional?

Modern i have a laminate picked out at about $225 but interested in other options as well

Could cast one out of concrete. Fiber reinforced. Could either go plain grey or use concrete stain which there are a gazillion to choose from.

Do you have a pic of the corian? I think that could give a stand a nice clean modern look.

I would suggest granite with a .25 inch underlayment under the granite between the 80/20. Shop, Shop. You can find someone with a ramnit that they want to get rid of before the holiday;)

expanded pvc? sintra, celtec etc.. would be my vote. 8ft of granite makes my back hurt just thinking about it.....

I would use a material that you would want to see everyday like in your kitchen. The top is the centerpiece of a stand.

Could you expand on this? I need a top for my 36x20 80/20 stand for a custom eurobrace ~75 gallons (26" tall). They recommended 3/4" ply + 1/2" closed foam.

Given a top the same size as the stand, we are just talking about the appearance of the edging, yes? I was considering black melamine banding, but open to something interesting. Stand will be black anodized aluminum.

Great example @drtrash and the same can be done with granite or different stone.
