I have a 50 gallon SCA Cube and I want to drill a 3-inch hole the MDF stand to add a computer fan to vent out some of the humidity. Anyone drill an MDF stand with a 3 inch hole saw how did the stand take drilling it. Thanks

Easy
Drill from either side. Once pilot/center bit pokes throu to the other side, drill from other side so you get a nice clean cut on both sides.

Thanks figured I d ask first before I drilled it didn't want to start drilling it and have the MDF just fall apart on me.

decided to 3D print a bracket to hold the fan instead of drilling holes. The brackets slides over the back wall to hold it in place with no screws

Thanks they come in handy for things like this. It took a couple attempts to get the size right for the fan to fit right.
