Hi!

I have a 29 gallon standard tank that has 1 Koralia 425 and 2 Koralia 240s. Currently I just don't like the way the flow is constant and unidirectional.

I'm looking at either one or two MP-10s. While I'm sure 1 will give me enough flow I'm wanting to get two and put them on opposite ends so that I can have some back and forth wave action.

Additionally I can run each lower and ideally they'll last longer and run cooler.

Thoughts?

I have one on my 30g AIO. My return nozzle is in the center of the tank with the mp10 on the side. I think my flow is not ideal because the two intersect in the middle creating a lower flow area in the opposite corner. I recommend two mp10's.

IMHO, you can't go wrong with the new MP-10s. I have 2 and love them and their controllability. You could also consider Jebao's RW-4. You get what you pay for though;)

I already ordered the MP10s.

I'm just trying to determine best placement at this point.

I have an apex AquaController but it seems like the built in controls on these should be all I need.

Place them on the sides facing each other or ,as I do, place them on the back glass pushing back to front. Time the pumps to operate on alternate times. That would give you good random flow which your acros will love!

So one on back left one on back right and alternating? I have a pair of cobalt neotherms coming as well which I figure I'll place next to them so they get good flow.

Got one MP-10 in. Had it put it half way down the tank to avoid creating an air vortex or throwing sand around.

The wave mode is nice. I'm excited to get the other one for the other side. I'm thinking I'll offset them a little and will probably have them alternate.
