I just got an iron stand that has basically no feet. Just iron ends that don't have a lot of surface area to contact with the ground. I asked the vendor, and he recommended 2x2" OSB that's half inch thick or metal plating.

I just bought this on eBay:


Do you guys think that's overkill and maybe I could get away with something like this?


It's a 30gallon tank with a 24" Octo sump.

It is unclear is the weight limit for the second one for all 6 pieces together or for a single piece? edit. I relooked at both. They are the same price. And the first option is thicker. I do not think you can use option 2. It’s extremely thin. Option 1 to me looks a lot better. I’m not sure you can use that load factor placing those in the manner you are

This took some additional work. Had to cut grooves in the steel plates to prevent slipping.

Happy with it though.
