any idea how I can conytrol their growth??? also corraline algae group really fast

Two things: They need to be isolated, otherwise will be a continuous battle. Secondly, thy grow out of a "skin like" membrane that can be pretty easily peeled off of whatever they are growing on.

I assume were talking about GSP? Stuff needs to be banned. Even if you isolate it to a rock it will start growing in folds.

A bigger issue is that in smaller tanks GSP will **** alk, mag and iodine like crazy causing other issues.

Nuke from orbit. Only way to be sure it's dead.

did a Klingon sell them to you? GSP are the tribbles of the underwater world ... lol
I’ll never buy them again

I actually think GSP is nice but you just have to manage it like anything else. Use a turkey baster and blast the coral a few times to close the polyps as you will expose the purple matt of the coral. Use a razor or scalpel and cut a line and the matt will actually peel away. It's not a stony coral so I would not be concerened with uptake issues of alkalinity, calcium.

What does “in folds” mean?

Y’all need to look up what ‘isolation’ means, and put it on a rock 8” away from any surface you don’t want it on. If you aren’t noticing that’s it’s creeping over the sand for however long it takes to travel 8”, you aren’t paying attention.
