Bought sone type of star out of Aquatic Experience on a sale rwck. Ws open beautiful there.. Wont open for nothing in my tank? I have tried fuel, phyto, vibrance, vita chem.. Moving it around..any ideas?helpful tips?

What are your tank water readings?

How long has it been in the tank? My Green Star Polyp can stay closed for up to two days after I frag it.

If you have a foxface rabbitfish possibly be on the look out, also possibly small pygmy angels, sometimes they find the start polyp very tasty. Otherwise post up all parameters and make sure it's not getting beat on by flow or sand

No rabbitfish.. All other corals are doing phenominal.. Ammonia, phosphate, nitrate, nitrite 0. Calcium 480 like i said all other corals are doing well and propogating... Just this guy and bougt him hecause hes an awesome green/black hue...

Try to put them at the bottom of your tank with less light. Light acclamation is a big step for newly added corals. Your lights could be too bright compared to where you bought them. I bought some zoas when I first got into the hobby and they wouldn't open, then shrunk and died. Didn't know the lights were too bright.

How long did you keep them at the bottom? I bought one candy apple red poly 3 months ago that wouldn't open, 1 week ago it finally opened. I placed it on the bottom in a darker spot. The place I bought it from had dimmer LED lights and I have 6bulb T5 HO lights. Even though I placed it at the bottom it still got light shock and almost died. Just keep it at the bottom and give it some time they should open. 10% water changes every week will help.

how long have you had them .. sometimes GSP takes some time to open when moved from tank to tank .. i would not play with them anymore .. let them settle in ..
