How long have you had them?

It looks like some are coated with brown stuff. How long have u had them? What type of flow are they In? Lighting? Parameters?

Mine did this when I changed their placement in the tank and adjusted the flow. Took a week or so and they came back out. I was given the advice that while they are easy to care for, they are crazy sensitive to any change they get.
