Yep, that about sums it up. I think you need a large and very established tank to keep one longer than a year.The problem with starfishes is that they’ll eventually start to starve and fall apart, I’ve kept the red ones for longer but again I haven’t heard of a starfish living for longer than a year or two in a tank, really sad to see them just disintegrate slowly
Scavenge the tank. It would eat pellets and mysis off of the sandbed, I would try to make sure that it had more than the rocks to eat from.What do you feed your Red or Blue starfish with? let them scavenge for food via detritus or you target feed them or broadcast or what not?
