Any change this guy is large enough to ID as good or bad?

Oh goodness, they changed the name over the last few years. I call them Asterina. They can get crazy numbers but they have not bothered much in my tank. I just scoop out when I find them.

Aquilonastra, they are harmless for the most part, but can multiply quickly given plenty of food (algae). I think when live rock was king, there were some species that would predate on corals, but I've never witnessed them in the nearly 40 years I've been in the hobby. I personally wouldn't worry too much about them, they are another diverse addition to a reef tank. If their numbers become too great, then there a natural ways of managing them.

I have them in my tank. Their numbers grew to where I had hundreds on my glass and they started munching on my zoas. I put in a harlequin shrimp in there to eat as many as possible and scooped them out until I thought I had none left. There's a few still in my tank but I learned to quit overfeeding so they aren't multiplying as rapidly. They also quit eating my zoas. They do eat corralline algae though but I don't mind that in my tank. Long story short, they're cool until there's so many they start eating coral lol.
