Starfish on leather

What is this starfish type on my leather is it bad, it has a red center

I took it out anyone know what it is

Some type of asterina starfish. I've encountered them once before and never seemed to cause an issue or hit plague level (although there were quite a few)

Some types reproduce to plague levels and others seem to not. Hopefully that was just a solo hitch hiker, but that's wishful thinking.

Pull it out and let them breed in another tank, free food for a Harlequin shrimp. Im not sure if there is a fish that enjoys them or any other method of eradicating them besides a Harlequin. I'll leave that to those with more knowledge.

Some of this small starfish, which are Asterina SP can damage your corals eating them, I do have many of them but my one is reef safe, never had issue with, the coloration is a bit dark green with some red but not with red centre.
My one is good detritus cleaner, but like I say not all of them are good/reef safe.
