Yep just remove the starfish and your good to goThanks!
So course of action?
Just removal of the starfish?
Or is it a bad idea to use the snail at all?
Yes you'll always get mixed reviews about asterinas. Personally I always raved about how much I enjoyed keeping them. Then one day maybe 8yrs into keeping tons of them they turned on my zoas. I felt very betrayed and now I hate the things
I do not want anything on my tank that may be a pest other than me lolYes you'll always get mixed reviews about asterinas. Personally I always raved about how much I enjoyed keeping them. so essentially any tank with no zoas or plans for zoas is asterina safe, is what I have understoodZoas only as far as I've seen
No. They eat Xenia from my experience. I do not trust them around any softie or LPS with smaller soft tissue. It has taken me years to remove them.so essentially any tank with no zoas or plans for zoas is asterina safe, is what I have understood
tell me more, you are the first i've seen reporting thisNo. They eat Xenia from my experience. I do not trust them around any softie or LPS with smaller soft tissue. It has taken me years to remove them.
So my father had a forest of Xenia in his tank. We’d often see these dudes around it but didn’t think anything of it. Well I added some to my tank ans next thing I know my smaller Xenia heads are being covered by these dudes at night. Same way they did my Zoa. They’d eat the head and down the stalk till basically nothing was left. I don’t trust them at all around any fleshy coral.tell me more, you are the first i've seen reporting this
