Starfish questions-advice!!

i know it's not their natural diet but i know people who have owned chocolate chip stars for 5+ years on only prepared foods like krill and clam. and the pillow star is in theory a very easy sea star to own if you have enough coral for it to feed on.

Chocolate chip stars are easy but not reef safe.
Had mine for 2 years before corals but had to "donate" after it started decimating zoas.

I'm on 7 months with my first fromia (indica) and it's still healthy but gave up on supplemental feeding after the first few weeks since mine wouldn't go for anything I tried. We shall see how this plays out.

Already mentioned, brittle/serpent stars are likely easiest for reef but not true stars (if you care) and some eat fish/other but I think you're safe if you research species first.

I still want to give this a shot. I don't see why not. Gonna check with lfs, and will question them extensively about the acclimation and how long it has been in their tank.
