Starfish weird yellow ball coming out

Ideas what this is? Just got this starfish and letting him settle in quarantine tank for now. Waters perfect only with few crabs/shrimp and tiny fish.
Moving around fine now

Not sure from the pic - brittle stars don't typically eat sponge, though, so my guess (a wild guess) would be regurgitated food like a pellet or something.

No not eaten any sponge and only food given so far was brine shrimp in tank. This came out of his body.
Now he looks like this but walking around

Yeah, I'll second this - that star looks like it's not doing well at all.

How did you acclimate the star to the tank? What exactly are you water parameters, and what other critters specifically do you have in your tank with it?
