So I bought this Orange/Red Starfish today at the LFS.
He was doing well at first, moving around, then a Peppermint Shrimp started messing with him, so I moved the shrimp to another tank but the Starfish is now curled up in a ball and not looking good. Do you think the shrimp caused this or just being put in my tank?
I dripped him for almost 3 hours.
Here are some before and after pics?
Also should I get him out so the crabs and what not don't eat him over night?
Thanks

What is your water chemistry, have you checked it?

How long has the star fish been in the position? If for a short time than I would wait and watch.

My water is good from what I can tell and I had it checked at the LFS. He's been like that for a hour or more

Star fish are very sensitive to changes in water chemistry, you need to have optimal water quality as well. In the future it would be best if you have the test kits to test your own water chemistry if you plan on keeping sensitive inverts. I would at least check the specific gravity. I would continue to wait and watch.

Good Luck

Tanks guys, get it Ha Ha....

Anyway after being in a ball for over two hours he's back to normal. Cruising around.
Have no idea why he was doing that though.

Might have found a morsel and decided that was the best way to get at it.

Glad the star fish appears normal now.

Well that's what my daughter said, but I thought he ate algae. But it did look like he found something to eat and was all over it. Must have been good, took him a few hours to eat it.
