Can anyone tell me what kind of starfish this is and if he is good or bad, he hitchhiked in on some Chateo.

That's a brittlestar, and a really nice one at that. They eat detritus and leftover food that gets stuck between rocks, and are highly beneficial. Be warned though that, if they get hungry enough, they will attempt to eat smaller fish. But al long as your fish are bigger than the oral disc (and as long as you keep him fed) he should be safe to put in the tank.

Awesome thanks I guess we got a new member in the tank.

Yup.. Black brittle star. IME, they don't bother a thing. It is their cousins, the Green Brittle and Red Serpent stars that I have observed hunting at night in my systems (and to the sump they went!!)
