Hello! I know starfish need an established tank and are very picky/harder to keep, so I’m curious to know how long you waited to add your starfish after setting up your tank if you have one?

I just picked up a chocolate chip yesterday on a total whim and googled it when I got home like a total noob and found out they arent reef safe and will eat coral.... So I guess it will have to go into the sump or be rehomed. So far it seems pretty happy in the tank and the tank is about 6 months old, not sure if that helps.

Linkia sp. Yes. I liked the orange over the purple. Reds. Or blues.
Formia sp. Stars imo are easier to keep.

Start with brittle and banded sea serpents. 1st.
Serpents give it 6-8months. Than add.
I stick to the rule of 1yr with the other stars. Some will say that about nems and sps as well.
